How To: Create a Proposal

Once you've created a job and added job details, the option to create a proposal will be available.

Laptop/Desktop Instructions

Click on the + Proposal, WO, or Invoice button, then select Create Proposal.

When the Create Proposal option is selected a dialog will be displayed with a financial summary of the proposal as well as many options for the creation of the proposal.

  1. The filename of the proposal will default to the job name. This can be changed to anything you like.
  2. The date of the proposal will default to today's date. You can change this to any date, this is helpful if you need to backdate the proposal or change the date for any reason.
  3. There are actions to either Preview or Create the proposal.

The second tab of the create proposal dialog displays images that have been uploaded to a job. Select the images you want to be included in the proposal.

TIP: There is an option Proposal include all images that can be turned on in the proposal settings. When this setting is turned on then all images for the job will automatically be included when a proposal is created.

The third tab of the create proposal dialog presents many options for creating the proposal and actions to take after the proposal has been created.

TIP: Each of these options can be defaulted to being on in the proposal settings. For example, if you always want to include a contract when you create proposals this can be set to on in the proposal settings.

  1. After the proposal has been created it will be listed under the Job Documents section of the Job Editor.
  2. Clicking on the action button (the blue circle with the three dots) for the proposal will display a list of options available for that proposal, such as emailing it to a customer or sending it to a customer for eSign.

Mobile Device Instructions

Creating a proposal on a mobile device is a similar process to creating a proposal on a laptop or desktop. The screens will obviously be different based on the smaller screen size of a mobile device.

  1. Once the job has been created, if you aren't already on the job documents/details mobile screen, click on the Job Documents/Details mobile navigation menu item.
  2. Scroll down to the Job Actions section and select + Proposal.

Creating proposals is a quick and easy process with many different options available. This enables you to get a proposal into your customer's hands faster and to work on closing the lead into a booked job.
