Advertising Your Business
Getting the word out about your business can be a tricky task. There are many advertising options out there and knowing which one's work can help your business grow and know where best to spend your advertising dollars.
There's no "one size fits all" approach to advertising. It depends on your business and your location. And what works today, might not work tomorrow.
So how can you know where to advertise? Facebook? Google? Signs? Truck wraps? Ads? Mailers? Email? Research can help guide these decisions, but you can only know by trying different things and seeing what works. That's where Trade Service Pro can help...
Tracking Ad Sources
When using the customer intake feature of Trade Service Pro you have the option of recording the ad source for a customer. If you stay diligent with recording this information it can really help inform what advertising is working for your business. Not only that, but it can help you understand WHERE that particular advertising is working, as it may work better in one area versus another area.
Real World Example
During one of our free TSP trainings we had with one particular customer, we reviewed how they can use the reports in TPS to track what ad sources are working for their business. The TSP Intake by Ad Source report showed a clear trend of yard signs being their number one form of customer referral.
The customer's response was very telling...
"That's really interesting, we're currently out of signs and I haven't ordered more lately because they are expensive."
The TSP report informed the customer that regardless of the expense, they need to continue to invest in signs as a means of advertising as it is a very effective way for them to gain new leads and turn those leads into customers.
